2. General information

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and to handle your enquiries and orders. This website does not use cookies, web analytics, tracking tools, social media plug-ins or advertising services.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by an external hosting provider in Germany. When you visit the website, the web server automatically records technical access data (so-called server log files): IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, requested page/file, transferred data volume, browser type and version, operating system, and referrer URL.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically error-free presentation and the security of the website (e.g. detection of misuse and attacks). Log files are automatically deleted by the hosting provider after the retention period it specifies. The data is not merged with other data sources or used to identify individual visitors.

4. Contact form and e-mail enquiries

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the data you provide (name, company, e-mail address, phone number, country, and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle the enquiry, prepare quotations and process subsequent orders.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract and performance of a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering business correspondence).

Your form data is transmitted by e-mail to our sales department. It is not stored in a database on the web server and is not used for advertising purposes. We retain business correspondence for as long as required by statutory commercial and tax retention periods (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO: six or eight to ten years, as applicable); data without retention obligation is deleted once the purpose ceases to exist.

5. Recipients of personal data

Within the company, only the departments responsible for handling your enquiry receive your data. We pass on data to third parties only where necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g. forwarding agents, banks in connection with documentary payment transactions), where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. customs and export control authorities), or where you have consented.

6. Transfers to third countries

If you contact us from a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), our reply is necessarily transmitted to that country (Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR — performance of pre-contractual measures requested by you). Beyond this, we do not transfer your data to third countries.

7. Data security

We use technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction and unauthorised access. We recommend transmitting confidential content via the encrypted (HTTPS) version of this website.

8. Your rights / Ihre Rechte

You have the right, under the conditions of the GDPR, to: access to your stored personal data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, an informal message to info@hafgmbh.de is sufficient.

9. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

10. Obligation to provide data

You are not legally or contractually obliged to provide personal data. However, without the data marked as required in the contact form we cannot process your enquiry.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or reflects changes to our services.
